Yes, the installation is pretty easy. There is only one line of code you need to insert into a template.
Where can I use the Newsfeed (Advanced) Plugin?
You can use the Newsfeed (Advanced) Plugin wherever an activity feed is available. At the moment there are these locations available per default: home.php, user_home.php, network.php, groups.php (requires the group plugin from SocialEngine).
"Do not hide own actions" issue
Normally if you are logged in and update your status, this status update won't be visible to yourself in the activity feed. It will be visible for other members though. To change this, follow this tutorial (with image): http://socialenginebase.net/viewtopic.php?t=1108 ... or have a look in your readme in your customer area.
